Oh Max
I've not made it any secret that, of my hockey obsession, the Pens are my favourite team and Maxime Talbot is my favourite player. His personality is so much like mine that I feel like he's a long-lost twin (yeah, very lost, since he's nearly 26 years younger than I am). Still, he's a kind and generous person with a (somewhat) warped sense of humour, he can yap with the best, and he plays his heart out.

Unfortunately, on a Pens team already decimated by injuries, Max sustained what looked to me like a fractured collar bone or a separation of the AC joint on the left, in the game against the Washington Capitals. The "official" word is "upper-body" injury. I know that posture and I am afraid he is out 4-6 weeks. I do so hope I am wrong. (I was- must have just strained the AC- thank the Goddess).

Here is a video of game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals vs Detroit last year. Max doesn't score a lot, but when he does it's generally a big contribution:

Quote:Apples and Wine: Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough & smart enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the hell out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
