Happy New Year
A very Happy New Year to all! I spent a nice quiet night watching TV and drinking rum and coke and knitting. I had a lovely dinner of brown rice, sugar snap peas and filet mignon done to perfection on the grill.

Currently I have the "Hoppin' John" cooking and I will start the corn bread.

Hope you all had a nice and safe New Years!

I don't have any real resolutions. I did set some goals for 2007:

1) finish my unfinished pieces over the course of the year

2) make a finished piece every month

That's it.....don't want to press my luck!!

I am all for setting (and attaining) manageable goals rather than being hopelessly ambitious and crumpling within days...

Happy New Year, Teri. One of the highlights of my year was finally meeting you.

Thanks gang....I am hoping to meet my January goal by getting my niece's wedding signature quilt done by Saturday.

And Gerrie, believe me, meeting you was a real high point in my year too. Now we need to make it at least an annual event. I will be at AQT again in 2007, so how about you coming to QSDS??

Quote:Apples and Wine: Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough & smart enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the hell out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
