Taking a LLWS Break
Ok...got the back on the charity quilt. Have one of 7 (yes, 7) hanging loops on the back sewn down. The quilt was too long to do one long sleeve. Once I get those done I need to do a limited amount of outline quilting to highlight the horses and attach the final backing to the front and then a small amount of beading in the darkest part of the sky....add the label and it's done!

So, I am taking a break to watch the LLWS- Maitland, FL vs the California team. Coming into Williamsport the Cal. team was the one to beat but I think Ewa Beach, Hawaii is going to give them a run for their money. Personally, I am cheering for Ewa Beach. Though, I hate to see any of them lose. These kids are so much more fun to watch than the pros....these kids are playing for all the right reasons.....

Quote:Apples and Wine: Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough & smart enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the hell out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
