Yep...Spring in Michigan
Woke up to 2+ inches of snow on the ground. Disappointing since my tulips are/were in bloom. Glad I didn't plant the dwarf cherry I bought for Earth Day (it is safe and cozy in the garage). Still, we have had measurable snow well into May- even tho the *safe* date for planting is May 5th.

Was working on some postcards yesterday...part of my Pacific Rim series. I flipped on Discovery Channel to find a show on, of all things, volcanos. Enjoyed seeing Kilauea, the world's most active volcano and Mauna Loa, the world's largest (both of which I have been to the summit of both and witnessed the July 5th, 1975 eruption of Mauna Loa (and nearly got stuck up there when the lava flow covered the access road about 15 minutes after we got down). Propitious since this part of the series has to do with volcanos and lava flow.

Well, time to get back to work.

Quote:Apples and Wine: Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough & smart enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the hell out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
