Round and Round Series Piece A. I started this in a workshop with Melody Johnson last August. I really like the way it has turned out (it isn't quite done yet) and had hoped to enter it in a show. is too small. Fortunately, the second in the series is still being fused and will be larger so it will qualify for the show I want to put it in. Posted by Hello

Hey, it's Joanna from QuiltArt (I'm way behind on reading digests, but read your post re this blog). LOVE this art quilt! Wish I could also take a class from M. Johnson. This has prompted me to start a blog, which will be, only because every other word combo I could think of was already taken. Guess I should have kept trying, and made it quilt-related! Anyway, love your art!

Quote:Apples and Wine: Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough & smart enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the hell out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
